Visit of Dr Jacques Rogge to Sport Centers (04.10.2006 - 12:42)
The IOC President Dr Jacques Rogge visited the State Olympic Sport Training Center in Koncha Zaspa and training center of Dynamo (Kiev) Football Club. At the state training center Dr Rogge had the possibility to visit the gymnasium, weightlifting sport hall, get aware of board and lodging conditions of the athletes. He conversed with the Head Coach of the National Artistic Gymnastics Team Igor Korobchynskyy as well as members of the team. The IOC President asked Mr. Korobchynskyy’s opinion on the new evaluation system implemented in artistic gymnastics and got favourable estimation....
Meeting of Dr Jacques Rogge and the NOC of Ukraine Staff (04.10.2006 - 12:42)
Today the President of the International Olympic Committee visited the NOC of Ukraine headquarters where he had a meeting with its staff. At the meeting there were also present the IOC member in Ukraine Mr. Valeriy Borzov, Olympic Champion (artistic gymnastics) Mrs. Lyudmyla Turishcheva, Executive Director of the NOC of Ukraine Mr. Anatoliy Domashenko. Sergey Bubka introduced the NOC staff to Dr Rogge stressing its ability to work as one team that is devoted to the Olympic Movement and respects Olympic ideals.

On June 23 - the 111th anniversary of the IOC foundation - by secret voting the XVIII Extraordinary General Assembly of the NOC of Ukraine elected the new president of the Ukrainian NOC. It is the IOC and NOC Executive Committees member, the famous athlete and Olympic champion Sergiy Bubka.
